5 Different Writing Units:
  • Informational Writing: Is a type of nonfiction writing that conveys information about something, which means it is factual.
  • Opinion Writing: An elementary type of argument in which students give reasons for their opinions and preferences.
  • Explanatory Writing: Examine and convey complex ideas, concepts, and information clearly and accurately.
  • Creative Narrative: Original writing that expresses ideas and thoughts in an imaginative way.
  • Personal Narrative: A type of narrative that details a true story about something that the writer experienced.
