What is different about our program and methodology?

• We focus on Chinese as a Second Language and Foreign Language learners, e.g. international school kids, third culture kids, and kids who are learning Mandarin as a foreign language
• Engagement: Chinese is a difficult language to learn. That is a given. However, just because it is difficult, it doesn’t mean that the only way to learn it is through rote memorization. We see much of the failure of the traditional teaching system is the insistence on rote memorization.​
• Flexibility & Personalization: We also understand each family’s definition of Mandarin excellence and proficiency is different. Our curriculum director and teacher will work with the parents to develop a pace that is personalized for each student.

• You can switch teachers if the chemistry is not there. You do not need to feel “不好意思” ​

Curriculum

• Casual Track: There are now multitudes of curriculum available for Mandarin learners for all ages. For families who are looking at this track, our teachers can use curriculum such as Dim Sum Warriors, Miaomi Stars, and Grim Press  as the basis for learning.
• Academic Track: Most of our students are on the academic track. For the academic track, we use one of three official curricula sanctioned by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. However, instead of following it lesson by lesson, our teachers adapt it to move at the level-appropriate speed. For example, a grade 5 student at an international school may be using a grade 4 a) One-on-one online.

• 60-minute session: US$45/session
