先說說​TED-Ed Student Talk 學生演說這門課在做甚麼吧。透過多元主題的發想探索，學生們創建自己的TED演說；提供孩子一個培養獨立思考、批判思維、溝通交流想法以及簡報技巧的環境。課程目的在於
  • 發掘自己的熱情所在: "什麼事物會讓你心跳加速?" 由和同學們分享"你是誰"，開啟這門課。透過各種不同的活動，引導學生的好奇心，發掘什麼是對自己最重要、最有興趣的主題。
  • 選擇值得分享的想法主題: "什麼是你覺得值得分享的想法?" 確認大方向之後，學生們將正式開始這趟旅程、塑型屬於自己的故事。透過老師的引導、同儕互相討論及回饋，從研究主題相關資訊、撰寫草稿、將想法視覺化等反覆練習調整，到產出簡報。
  • 分享: "你的想法會怎樣改變這個世界?" 在每梯課程的尾聲，學生們將與全班分享自己的演說，並且錄製下來，可以與家人朋友分享，或是上傳到Youtube頻道，與更多更廣的群眾分享。

The Geronimo Stilton series are a wildly popular collection of children’s books by Italian author Elisabetta Dami. They follow the life of the mouse Geronimo, a newspaper writer and editor. Dami creates an imaginative humanlike society of mice, a playful lens through which children can learn about the world. For example, Geronimo lives in ‘New Mouse City’, an imaginative version of New York City: readers visit the ‘Mouseum of Modern Art’, newspaper headquarters, the Statue of Liberty and many more cultural and historical landmarks. Geronimo even encounters ‘Hercule Poirat’, a reference to Agatha Christie’s famous detective character Hercule Poirot. The books also follow Geronimo’s travels, introducing readers to the geography and history of Japan, Australia, Italy, India and other countries around the world. In this way Dami combines cultural knowledge and fun to introduce young readers to various bits of history, culture and literature.

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is a short children’s picture book by American writer Shel Silverstein. It tells a simple tale of the relationship between a tree and a boy. As the boy grows from childhood to old age, the tree selflessly gives up its apples, branches and trunk in order to make him happy. The Adventures of Tintin

A Bear Called Paddington

A children’s classic, A Bear Called Paddington has recently been made into a popular film — but the original book, written by British author Michael Bond, is very much still worth a read. The story follows the playful bear Paddington as he travels to London from Peru and is welcomed into a typical British family. Children will immediately fall in love with the character of Paddington who always means well, but whose clumsy ways lead to funny mishaps and relatable mistakes as he attempts to adjust to human life.
