This was Chloe’s 2nd class at Lighthouse Camps, the 1st time it didn’t go very well at the beginning, she was too terrified to speak English, and was very shy during class discussion. But somehow she managed to overcome her fear, and did very well at the presentation. I think that gave her the courage to speak English in public, which was not my original intention by sending her there.
During the 2nd class, we took the MRT to the class, and she pointed at the billboard and asked me: “Mommy, do you know those picture showing on the billboard are created by pixel? “ I was stunned, and ask: “How do you know?”, she answered “I learned it from teacher Ivon, she taught us about pixel in the class.”
It’s amazing to see the little one can connect what they learn in the classroom and apply to the daily life. She is thrilled to make more new friends and is looking forward to joining the class again in the future. Thanks to Lighthouse camp’s excellent and caring teachers.
