Kate, nine years old, is currently third grade, studies at an international school in Taipei. Every Monday, she would attend a math and English lessons from the “Study Ahead” program. In January, Kate’s mother was introduced into the “Lighthouse Camps – Study Ahead” program by her friend. It has been ongoing for four months now. Last week, Kate’s mother happily told us that her daughter is now able do sixth grade English and fourth grade math. She did not expect such an impressive progress in just four short months. Kate is able to improve so rapidly because: She is able to read quite fast and enjoys reading during her spare time, especially novels. After receiving a one-on-one tutoring from the teacher, she is now able to breakdown the structure of an article, dip deep and understand the points that the author is trying to make, be familiar with the use of grammars and vocabularies. Also, her reading comprehension skills have significantly improved as well. A lot of parents may not be aware of the fact that their kids are not restrained by their original learning capabilities.
